Well, if my nom's out, at least it's out to an album that makes the finals.

Low.

We'll see. Low has to win by one to move on. As the ratings stand, a tie is an MGMT win.

Maybe someone can enlighten me on why MGMT's album is deserving... (not necessarily against Low, rather to be this far) I had a really hard time finding anything I liked about it. Maybe a more enlightened soul can help me see the light?

MGMT Vs Breadwinner for the finals was what everyone thought, right?

It's aight. I think it has a pretty solid EP in the tracklisting. The title track's pretty strong. It's been crazy overblown in the tourny though.

I actually enjoyed MGMT more than expected on a first listen. I like how they've toned down their excitement a bit and how they now come with a big dollop of 80s cheese. Reminded me of the Pet Shop Boys in places, which works for me. Some good songs in the first part of the album but I lost interest in the second half. Will probably revisit.

Still need to listen to the Low album. I've really dug them in the past though so this could tie things up...

Low, obviously. Can't believe that these are the final four, though. Pretty damning indictment of what I thought was a decent year. (Or, y'know, a damning indictment of y'all's collective terrible taste.)
