I love all three of those albums, especially Andorra. #704 in the artist rankings isn't too shabby. So many amazing artists are below that. _________________ Add me on RYM

Sure but Taylor Swift is 468 on the list of best artists...
And yeah Andorra is awesome! There's no way though that there were 129 albums better than Andorra in 2007. It is too bad almost no one has heard about this guy. Maybe there are artists that have dramatically better music in this genre than him? I'm admittedly not a fan of the genre, had listened to "Our Love" for many years now but visited these other guys and they are just stunning to listen to on a quality set of IEM's. In fact - "Our Love" was one of the records that I most noticed the biggest increase in sound quality when I was looking for things to demo vs. my low end headphones and it caused me to visit the rest of his stuff.
Maybe caribou is the gateway drug to psychedelic electronica? Are there artists that do this genre a lot better? I have never liked EDM, have always found it too repetitive and not engaging at all on a musical level but this is just.... different (in a very good way)

Yeah, but she's P4k 9.0 certified now.
And, outside of online communities, I actually have found Caribou oddly unpopular in Canada. I've dug through a lot of shelves in the last decade, and I don't think I've ever seen a copy of Swim or Andorra anywhere (Our Love has popped up few times though). His music is very accessible and even radio friendly, so maybe it's a little weird. I dunno, yeah, sure... shout out to Caribou.
Hope he comes through with a new record come 2020.

I never want to see another P4k decimal number ever again
Anyways, yeah, he's pretty dang popular, especially with the indie and BEA style crowd, is this asking why he isn't mainstream popular (whatever that means anymore)

I don't know just wanted to rant a bit. I did not find much in the search for him even on BEA (most of the hits were indeed for the elton john) so wanted to see if anyone was a fan.
I also feel like "p4k" has gone and lost what little credibility they had left by going and retroactively rating Taylor Swift. I'm surprised this forum is not all up in arms about it haha.
