Very cool, unique chart. I may have to have a look at the ones I'm not familiar with based on how much I like the ones I know well.

I like a lot that this is such a unique and individual chart. Moreover, there are quite a few albums I have not listed on my own chart but which are underappreciated and well-known to me – like Heart Food, Here’s the Tender Coming and Jessica Pratt. Ashes Are Burning is another one – Renaissance, more than Joni Mitchell, sound like the prototype for the 1990s “Lilith Fair” generation and also Tori Amos. There are also a few surprises from unexpected genres – a facet I always enjoy in a “best albums” chart.

One thing re Here’s the Tender Coming is that “Living by the Water” is a cover of Anne Briggs’ 1971 song on her 1998 compilation A Collection, which is a must have for anyone into tradition folk music.
