There is absolutely NO WAY that I would entrust the choice of songs that will wing me to my rest to anyone in my family (apart from my beloved eldest brother Mark), so I actually have it written into my will and in a letter to my solicitor. The choices haven't changed for 10 years...

'Northern Sky' - Nick Drake'

'Please, please let me get what I want' - The Smiths

'You're wondering now' - The Specials

'Atmosphere' - Joy Division

Goo Goo Muck - The Cramps

A few I have considered - despite being at only the tender age of 17!

But these mean a lot to me:

God - John Lennon
The Long And Winding Road - The Beatles

Float On - Modest Mouse

possibly cliche, but it's genuinely what I'd want.

I keep try think of a proper one, except all I can think of a songs I would find humorous to hear at a funeral.. So i guess that's what I want then

Maybe

I Am The Walrus

or

...

Actually for a decent cliche how about In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

That would actually be amazing (and hey! my cliche wasn't decent?) although so was I Am The Walrus Laughing

My Dad reckons he wants to be cremated while "Disco Inferno" plays.

Float On isn't a bad choice, but I agree that almost no matter what plays, it'll sound cheesy. Confused

I actually really like the choice of In The Aeroplane Over The Sea Very Happy That'd be an excellent song

I honestly think I would use A Day In The Life though Smile It might be an obvious choice, but I think it'd be my choice.

Also, there's always the possibility of a new song that'll come out between now, and the time of my death Laughing
