Although the chart contains a large number of electronic albums whose recommendation by Scaruffi (and on occasions others) has not been grasped by me, I am nonetheless impressed on many levels.

Illuminations – which sold so badly as to cost Vanguard substantial sums of money and be effectively disowned by its maker – I have not seen on an all-time chart before, nor have I seen Earth Rot, Múm or even (at least so high) This Heat.

Given the tone of the chart, I wonder why O.Rang, featuring Paul Webb and Lee Harris, was not included? To my ears O.Rang is a much better record than Hollis’ solo album – although it does not sound like the last three Talk Talk albums – and it's style would seem to fit your tastes as far as I can judge.
