It's not that good.
The first three and the last three songs are the best, the middle tracks just never take off. There's lots of attempts at the same huge hooks from Viva La Vida, but they largely fall flat. The first moment of panic I had (being somewhat of a fan) was when I first saw the track listing. "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall"? "Hurts Like Heaven"? These are tracks you expect from some kind of Coldplay rip-off, not the genuine article. mind you, "Hurts Like Heaven is a great track, but "...Teardrop" is not. There's also this annoying little songwriting tic with an instrumental track seguing into a full song...Why not just make it part of the song boys? This happens three times over 14 tracks and never seems like anything less than an attempt to add filler tracks. It's funny when the instrumental intros also happen to outdo the song it's supposed to setup ("MMIX" into "Teardrop").
All in all, this is a letdown.
