Dude "Pájaros de verano" is on my 2018 list
That movie is amazing, I didn't realize it was eligible for 2019 movies as well. I would have put it #3
Anyway, tons of recs also this year.
Thank u so much Hayden man! _________________ Not Talulah?

Quote: | Damn Jojo Rabbit is low... |
Jojo Rabbit was a mixed bag. It either appeared pretty high on lists, or not at all. I think it's a love-it or hate-it film. Plus, most films in its range were incredibly close in points. One more list could've shot it up 6-7 spots.
I don't have a lot of hot takes this time around. It's give-or-take how I thought it'd turn out.
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood was a little higher than I figured. Didn't think it'd crack the top five. Toy Story 4 was a lot lower than I figured. I thought top 10 was a given. And I know Portrait of A Lady On Fire would have been even higher had more people seen it. Being said, Noémie Merlant was #1 on the actress list for the entirety until yesterday. The two Oscar-winning actress performances weren't even close.
Parasite never left the #1 spot since day one. The Lighthouse was #2 for at least a month.
Seeing what actor had the most credits on the list was an absolute pain Especially when The Lego Movie 2 was on the list. Avengers and Between Two Ferns feel like they have endless bills. The amount of actors in at least two films is in the dozens. Didn't bother counting.
Another thank you to everyone who participated Only 1 list shy of how many people submitted last year.

Exceptional outcome man! You’ve done an outstanding job!
Surprised to see some of them show up actually and for Marriage Story to get so high. Not complaining, I clearly love that movie too. I haven’t seen this particular poster for Parasite, so props on that too! It looks really cool in a minimalist kinda way. _________________ Some RYM paraphernalia:

Digging up the posters for the top 5 is always a little bit of fun. I should note none are 'official' studio outputs— most of the posters I use are made by the same guy who puts out a whole bunch of great work every year. The Lighthouse was a different source though.

I'd assumed they were foreign posters, though in retrospect the amount of work would've been a little daunting. The Marriage Story and The Lighthouse ones in particular are fantastic. As are most of the ones you've posted in past lists.
Does this guy also do fake Criterion Collection covers?

I don't think he does fake Criterion covers, but he's also the source I've used for (most) past polls
Suppose I should post his credit: https://www.chungkong.nl/
He has plenty. When there's a film he doesn't have, I look elsewhere though. It's just to keep a sense of uniformity.

Generally I really dig this list, though not sure how I feel about Joker being in the top 10 to be honest. Overall I'm pretty happy with it, I'm especially happy Uncut Gems got respect _________________ 2023 Chart
