I kind of want to hate this album for being so typical, but that's just me wishing not to have such an uncool opinion: this album kicks ass. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

Bon Jovi are one of my favourite guilty pleasure bands, and one of the rare ones from my teenage phase which I still listen to sometimes. This is not their brightest moment imo, I’m not as big on some of the hits as I was when I heard this the first time, but it’s a solid 80s hair/glam rock record. Ritchie Sambora was always one of my fave guitarists in this style, love playing his stuff on guitar even to this day. Also for some reason (probably nostalgia), Bon Jovi are like the only band where I can still enjoy very cheesy power ballads. Never Say Goodbye is really cool. Should make a dadrock chart sometime _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

I don't think this album (and band) could be categorized as anything but a guilty pleasure... the songs are so good though.

Its really fun, I think a lot of hair/glam era metal is unfairly dunked on at times. I wouldn't say its a great album, but its fun to listen to and sometimes thats all you need.

Unfortunately for me, that's why I give it the "uncool" five state rating, along with New Jersey. There aren't other Bon Jovi albums I feel that strongly about. _________________ Do it yourself and let me play my music: https://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=61802

richie sambora could actually play guitar. he was the energy behind the music.
jon bon jovi had a super voice, great looks and long hair.
plus the band was from new jersey. gotta like that.
this was the only album i liked.
enjoyed it immensely when it debuted but got tired of it fast.
truthfully, its great rock 'n roll delivered with an American style substance.

Not a guilty pleasure, just pure pleasure. I loved Bon Jovi as a teen and some of that love still endures to this day. Even though I believe this is the weakest of their prime albums (4 albums released from 1986-1995) it's still packed with hits and even has some pretty solid album tracks. Social Disease is the only song I really dislike on the album, and I've always had a soft spot for cheesy Wihtoug Love, I'd Die For You and Never Say Goodbye.
Oh, and Wanted Dead or Alive is easily their best song, just a stone cold classic. _________________ All time
