I'm sure this has already been answered, but I can't find it anywhere: if you use an album in the quarter finals, can you use a single from that album in the semis? Or vice-versa? For example, could I use 1997 single Fire in Which You Burn this round and then the full Funcrusher in the semis?

Well damn....I didn't advance. Grats to those who did and excited for the next round. If I'm going to lose I might as well lose to the best so rooting for 1995 and 2000 going forward. Both are great enough years to pull out the W. Once again thanks to Skinny for putting this together this has been my favorite BEA tournament I've been apart of.

I was going to play some Griselda next round if I made it through, but since that's not happening check out my Griselda chart I just made. Smile

I don't know how Skinny is going to implement the album/single rule- and it goes without saying that he has the final say- , but the way I imagined it when I proposed it, this would be a no. The idea was not to have an extra chance of using the same material, but to have the possibility of alternating between single and album only when recycling is allowed anyway. In other words, you'd be allowed to use Fire in Which You Burn only in the round you 'd be allowed to use Funcrusher Plus again - so if you use either of them in the quarter finals, you could use the same one or the other only in the finals. Hopefully this wasn't too confusing, though I'm sure Skinny will clear it up anyhow.

This is exactly what I meant. I'm shocked, though pleased, that it actually made sense to anybody.

Anyway, I'm gonna start a new thread shortly to try to put all relevant information about the knockout stages - matches, rules and revisions, template - in one place. Hopefully that should clear up much of the confusion.
