I'll update the group tables later, but for now here are the teams advancing to the quarter-finals:
Group A:
1st - 1996
2nd - 2005
Group B:
1st - 1994
2nd - 1997
Group C:
1st - 1999
2nd - 1993
Group D:
1st - 1995
2nd - 2000
Therefore, the quarter-final matchups will be as follows:
QF1: 1996 vs. 1997
QF2: 2005 vs. 1994
QF3: 1999 vs. 2000
QF4: 1993 vs. 1995
Congrats to those who made it through, and commiserations to those who didn't. It was a brilliant and varied group stage, and I look forward to seeing you all again for the knockout phase of the tournament.
I will start a new thread reiterating and clarifying rules moving forward, where discussions about the knockout stages can take place. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far!
