Well looks like Donda's release is once again TBD. Here's some other great music that dropped that doesn't have any other ratings yet.

Juno by Parra For Cuva
A very tropical/summery sounding downtempo record with hints of Indietronica/Tropical House. I've listened twice and it really clicked for me the second time around. Nothing innovative or crazy but quality stuff.

Jellyfish Reproduce Black Magic by Rain...nslavement
Rainforest Spiritual Enslavement have been on my radar since 'Ambient Black Magic' and this is their best release since then in my opinion. Just a 3 track EP but I believe it's over 30 minutes of music. It's actually their second release this year, and the better of the two records.

Lei Disk 「Radio•Broadcast」 by Iglooghost
This one kinda went under the radar the only reason I know about it is Iglooghost made a YouTube community post about it. It's a 30 minute mixtape that goes into more of his lore about "Lei Music". Plays I guess like a radio broadcast with little spoken word bits throughout talking about the world he's created. Really quality stuff, and if you like more of his Wonky stuff like Clear Tamai/Steel Mogu this is more similar to that as opposed to the more lush soundscapes of Lei Line Eon. It's kinda like his 'FM' (by Vince Staples) if that makes any sense. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels

Perilaku Hewan, Semar Pegulingan, Vol. ...elan Sound
Gamelan, rough around the edges but worth a listen. More raw than standard.

Recuerdos De Uruguay by Fabrizio Rossi
Avant-folk, light on the avant and light on the folk. Almost a dreamstate.

Lucky Man (Music From The Film) by Billy Bang
Viet-inspired violin 'jazz'. Documentary soundtrack. RIP Billy Bang.

Canto+ by Beatriz Ferreyra
A soft-clouded nightmare. Props to Beatriz Ferreyra for releasing this sort of forward-thinking output at 84.

Seance by Maxine Funke
This acoustic folk record might just be the best thing on the board here. Beautiful work.

Encore: Unheard Recordings Of Bahamian ...eph Spence
Spence comp. Better than your favourite Bahamian blues singer, whoever that is. If you listen closely you can even tell what he's saying.

Entre Luces by Cielos De Plomo
And this came out in 2020, but we don't seem to use the 2020 albums thread anymore, so... here's Slowdive meets Sigur Ros, in Spanish, and just as good as it sounds.
New Darkside was okay, albeit a little boring. Same with the Yves EP. Hype for the new Lorde is very low after that second Lana-light single. Another Boldy James/Alchemist collab coming soon, should be good. New Grouper on the way too. James Blake. Sturgill Simpson. BadBadNotGood. Deafheaven. It's like 2013 again. Should have acouple stacks of listening this season.

GUMBO'! by Pink Siifu
So...Pink Siifu just quietly released my new AOTY. Siifu just continues to impress with his versatility. Seems like after every release he's been reinventing his sound while still maintaining a prominent position in the slums lane.
Some of you may know him from acclaimed sound collage record 'N*GRO' last year. This album sounds nothing like that. On this record Siifu is rapping kinda reminding me of his 2018 record 'Ensley' at times. But for the first time he's really pulling from Southern Hip-hop with his flows and production choices. He is from Alabama after all. It's still got that signature Siifu feel to it, incorporating jazz rap, neo-soul, and cloud rap with abstract lowkey flows and trippy, mellow production. One of the most surprising things to me is that he's also rapping over a ton of trap beats and making multiple bangers on the record including some incredible posse cuts at the end. Really didn't expect that from Siifu but damn he killed it.
The production, the flows, the features, the raps, they're all flawless. A masterpiece. _________________ Griselda, by Fashion Rebels
