Happy to see efferent love For Richard and Linda Thompson, John Mayer, and Linda to start. 3 albums I also quite like and the first 2 are even overall chart entries for me. The blow back against John Mayer was intense. But I always lived continuum and some other stuff of his.

Posted comment: You could decry it as bloated and self-indulgent, lacking in the obvious keeper tracks of his more popular albums, but this drug-fueled personal odyssey is raw and groovy as hell.

Notes: I think I would generally prefer to listen to this over What's Going On. More consistently interesting, especially musically. But it's impossible to deny how good the three classics are from that album and nothing here comes close to that level of cultural resonance.
