I guess I should be more hip and just write

LCK
with no context or favorite bits or anything like the much cooler internet kids do.

But you aren't wrong - more than one youtube link is pretty annoying.

My boomer likeness is like that annoying grandma who posts the same profile picture 800 times because she wasn't sure it actually took.

JP Sears (White Woke People)
Steve Hofstetter seemed ok.

Good calls/I'll second:
Robin Williams (Catholics, Mormons, and Germans was a fantastic bit)
Dave Chappelle (Kick her in the pussy)
Bill Burr (Toughest job in the world in your pajamas)

And not that it was asked, but sketch comedy:
Who's line is it anyway?
WKUK
I Think You Should Leave
Flying Circus
Kids In The Hall

In case you've not heard Louis talk about his "thing". It's pretty great.

I should say I wasn't really calling out the spam as much as just commenting on a certain disdain for the man - at least in his new form. I'll give it to him, no one could really structure a sentence quite like him, though all of his standup since returning are just the personification of a breitbart article and he's really the first in a long line of CaNcEl CuLtuRE hAs GoNe ToO Far!?! comedians that say nothing on a minefield of shit for a cheap laugh.

That said, the show Louie is kinda masterful. Re-evaluating CK's work is a minefield and honestly much cleverer people than me have done excellent jobs of it but it really did pave the way for network execs to see commercial viability in one comedian shows and we owe the ability of recent greats like Phoebe Waller Bridges, Tig Notaro, Pamela Adlon, etc to get on the air in the first place at least in part to the show.

Most of the recent diy greats make at least one sketch appearance in this show and as a result it makes me very happy. Delightfully manic shit.

Got it - yeah I don't disagree. I don't think he's done much great stuff since maybe Oh My God... that SNL monologue I think happened right before the allegations. He looks and talks like absolute shit now. I had a few chuckles from his 2020 special, but nothing like his previous stand up material.

That broke bit from 2004 was great.

No worries. I've been lazy at threads probably 90% of my time on BEA... glossing over shit all the time.

TV show Louie was pretty good. I'll say I liked Ansari's better though. In someways I liked how Louie's was kinda about nothing and in other ways it bothered me there was barely a story there and even though I sat through most of it and even though I really liked aspects of it, if that's all he put out, I'd think he's a dweeb... but his standup was, imo, pretty killer.

Also I'm pretty sure he literally got cancelled for the TV shows?

Also when allegations came about about his masturbating in front of women who in the end didn't really want him to... I couldn't help but think of all his bits in his show and in standup about it... it was almost like oh, yeah that makes completes sense now... Laughing - oddly enough it was my least favorite bits too... like none of them were that funny. The sex thing that men do nothing for women is great. But the masturbation stuff... oh I guess there was that why does every news cast woman have to always be like model level gorgeous that was funny... anyway... mostly not funny masturbation jokes... and awkward for sure. Then bingo.
