Just quoting the movie. I wouldn't use it in any other context.
I made the mistake of looking up some other clips, and they're even worse. I've not seen something this brazenly misguided in a long time. Seems that none of the complexity of the disorder itself was even thought of.

...Don’t say “disorder”. It was fucking removed from the DSM years ago.
ANYWAY, as petty as it sounds from an #actuallyautistic person, I’ll admit that I’m sorta irritated with the discourse of this fucking movie, not because autistic people are wrong about it being toxic and disgusting as hell, but the way it supposes a terrifyingly possibility that movies this universally embarrassing still have power over the general public. I know there are major problems with the way Rotten Tomatoes runs Hollywood (and vice versa), but I do think it’s good that a critically-panned movie hasn’t dominated the discourse since the last Fantastic Beasts. Because if you’re going to be problematic, you better have some damned good filmmaking to make up for it. There are just too many other options for audiences for something like Music to be taken seriously.
(I know you can argue that this is a movie for neurotypical parents to put on for their autistic kids, but hopefully the fact that the protagonist is a fucking drug deal, not that there’s anything wrong with the professional in itself, suggests that it doesn’t even make sense in that regard)

Add Breaking News In Yuba County to the list
I had no idea it was getting panned. Hadn't seen a single review. I looked at the cast and figured it was good to give it a go
Meanwhile, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar was a blast. Enjoyed that way more than I figured I would. Best thing I've seen from a SNL-alum in a long time.

Barb and Star are definitely who I want to be when I grow up <3
Actually, though, I’ve ended up liking all 6 movies I’ve seen so far this year.

Wish I was having your luck with that... 2021 is bombing for me. Watched Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn and Godzilla vs. Kong this week and I'm floating between a 1-1.5/5 for both, and for completely different reasons
I even thought Raya and The Last Dragon was pretty bad.
Judas And The Black Messiah and Barb & Star are holding the year up for me at this point. I think I have six 1/5s so far, which is insanely low for me, especially considering it's only the beginning of April.
Negativeness and what are most likely my bad choices aside, what are some films people are hoping get released this year? Any watchlists?

Dune
Mission: Impossible 7
A Quiet Place, Part II
No Time To Die
Spider-Man: No Way Home (particularly if Maguire and Garfield are truly returning)
BIOS
Rurouni Kenshin: The Final / The Beginning
The Guilty
The Woman In The Window (third year's the charm?)

I guess I should share my current 2021 chart:
https://boxd.it/b9OtU
I should point out that I actually really liked Godzilla Vs Kong, ESPECIALLY the first half hour. I don’t know why, but I’m such a sucker for the cinematography of this franchise.
Also, I should probably plug one of the films, The Long Con, which was directed by my high school best friend Dan Lotz. This seems like a reason for bias, but I was NOT a fan of his first two features, Chlorine and Sheep Theater, but completely fell in love with this crime film that’s basically about the homeschool experience.
