Hey AM, (or whoever has the answer) question: when usually does the option to make decade charts open up for a new decade? After the second year ends - so like January 2022? I wasn’t here for the last decade switch over so was just curious. _________________ -Ryan
2020s charts planned to be enabled on July 1st - at half year. (The last change of decade was before decade charts were added to BEA (2011), so this will be the first time this has happened).
Question: Does this mean that a lot of 2020 and 2021 albums will have significant jumps on the all-time list as of July 1st? Or will it take a bit more time than that (I assume it's probably the latter)?

2020s decade charts will start off contributing approx ~15% of total available decade points (~3 points), so we might expect small jumps in rank but nothing substantial (the available decade chart points increase to a maximum of 20 for charts published at the end of a decade).
