It interests me that this has consistently been their highest praised album (maybe tied with The Woods which I see is ranked slightly better on BEA).

IMO it didn't do anything that their debut hadn't already accomplished, and they advanced their sound further on future records like All Hands on the Bad One, The Woods, and No Cities to Love. Just sort of surprises me.

That said, I think this is a great album. Title song is where it's at.

Cover is a clear homage to (or rip off of) The Kink Kontroversy. The music, however, isn't as engaging.
