Yeah I agree with Luigii, it's great to have a user this prolific, debating, and consistently active on here. Even if I personally don't always agree with the views (or in this case, the album picks) of yours, it's interesting to read what you have to say.

May I ask what’s going on scoring wise?
I mean, I see a 4/5 and then a 80/100 (random examples).
The TBD indicator next to the former makes me guess that you plan to make a transition in the 1 to 100 format. On the other hand, the albums you’ve recently rated e.g. for the purpose of the “You must listen…” games are rated in a scale of 1 to 5, which confuses me.
I know you are dedicated to details and I’m sure there’s a logical explanation that the gormless me fails to grasp, so it makes me curious.
Also, based on the overall thoughtfulness of your comments, I’d love reading what makes those albums stand out in your opinion. Any intention to add reviews of some kind or is it something that doesn't interest you at this point?
And it goes without saying I agree with Luigii and DommeDamian.

The more precise scores are for albums that I've rated track-by-track (weighted), which I don't do until at least the second listen. Only albums that have gone through that process can appear on the overall chart. In the meantime, albums get a rating out of 5, so in the further listening section, it's a more precise score that's TBD.

I appreciate the kind words (you too DommeDamian), but I don't intend to add reviews to my charts. I explain that a little in the preamble. And I don't think it's accurate to call yourself gormless when you just introduced me to that word Laughing

Ok, got it, I knew it would be simple.
And yes, I had read your intro before asking, but I didn't quite understand what you were getting at.
So, you find it pointless to try and capture your reasons for liking/loving an album due to their fleeting nature and how our taste and our perception of music is bound to constantly change - or something along those lines? Or maybe you think this process of putting your listening experience into words leads to a demystification of sorts, i.e. takes away part of the magic and makes it too tangible/pedestrian?

Largely the former, but writing methodical reviews would also take views on music that might otherwise be fleeting and anchor them, which would slow the evolution of my taste. The scores already do enough of that. And the huge factor that's not in the description is that I don't have time/energy/motivation to write reviews for all the albums on my chart. In the games, my writeups are all just quick takes, so I don't have to worry about whether what I'm saying about the albums is insightful in any way.

That's why I play lol. Don't take anything too seriously. Btw your chart's a fantastic resource for soul newcomers like myself, stole a few picks from there. It goes without saying that I agree with Luigii and the others, love to see your takes on pretty much everything, regardless of me (dis)agreeing. Great chart, keep it fresh and updated Very Happy
