This chart is CERTAINLY my fucking jam. That number 1... Love

all that Dylan with even one that caught me off guard and made me want to go relisten (Planet Waves... makes sense I suppose considering what your number 1 album is).

Some albums here are just not quite my tempo (The Stranger, The Wall, others) but mostly I like the earthy, grounded, soulful and well-written feel of this collection of albums. Well done, planetneutral!

Ain't that a hoot?

This list is like, a big part of the foundation of a music library base, to me. I really only go down to the ground level to access these selections every once in a while. My first chart on here is going to be, like, looking out of other windows, and digging holes in the yard, compared to this highly informed, well studied, expertly arranged, solid bedrock.

Joining this website because of this Chart, caught my attention on Twitter with the Chart Of The Day promo.

Congrats Planetneutral. Thank you for the tips in music!

Shortlist of my Keepers from the above Chart that could peg into the red on my eventual Best Evers, and which requires for-better-or-worse their own broad discography competing against themself for high ranking slots: Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Talking Heads, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Stevie Wonder, Pixies, Pavement, Marley.

Some that I'll have to consider ranking for the Album's individual quality apart from overall discography careers or my preferences thereof: The Harder They Come, Maggot Brain, Eat a Peach, Low Spark, Fables/Murmur, Dylan's, Velvet+Nico, All Things Must Pass, Aja, Achtung, Tapestry, Truth & Soul.

Some that are barely going to reach a cursory consideration in my Top 250 but I nod to your appreciation of, Fleetwood Mac, Decemberists, Faith, New Pornographers, INXS, the Boss, CSN(Y), Zappa.

Some that are perhaps-merely faded with time. The Doors, The Stones, Wings, Who, Nirvana, PJ. No comment (I plead the 5th) on Billy Joel, Beatles, XTC, NMH, Bright Eyes.

Some that are cancelled in modern times, but perhaps an objective music-ranking librarian does not weigh artist behavior impressions as much: Thriller (XXX), Moondance, Layla, Kanye. Those are minefields. I recommend avoiding them.

If I could spend the rest of my days, listening through this collection with today's Chart-Maker, I would do that. Cool
