One of my all time favorites. Badmotorfinger is the record where Soundgarden truly found their sound. I do like Superunknown a bit more, but its a close second. Its one of the best grunge records.

Far and away my favorite grunge era record as well as my top Soundgarden by a wide margin. Great songs, no compromises, delivered with originality, power, and conviction from end to end.

It's kinda underrated, very close in quality to Superunknown, yet known mostly as a transitional album. Which it is, it's sludgy, heavy like their 80s material, but it's got a dose of alt rock and grunge songwriting. Pretty much every song here is good to great, with my pick for the best being Slaves and Bulldozers. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart

I prefer it to Superunknown, because it's heavier and a little bit weirder. It's like Black Sabbath meets Led Zeppelin meets trippy psych-rock. Awesome stuff. _________________ Top 40 Greatest Music Albums by indieshins

For some reason, out of the big 4 grunge band, Soundgarden is the one I couldn't really get into, which is strange considering I love Cornell's voice and consider him to be the best singer of the 90's along with Jeff Buckley, their albums are often a chore to listen to. But when they get going they have this monumental power and the opening 4 song run here is extremely strong. _________________ All time
