A wonderful album to end the year on. Not my top Weezer, but an album I love a lot. Also, there's a good argument for "Across the Sea" through "Pink Triangle" being the best middle section of any modern album. A case could be made!

Track picks
5. Across The Sea
6. The Good Life
7. El Scorcho
8. Pink Triangle

3rd favorite Weezer, and Butterfly is one of their best songs. Plus this album cover is wonderful.

This was my first listen of 2022, and a worthy one it was. It's so hard to decide between their first two album, and even though they did in fact some excellent albums later in their career (esp White and OK Human), nothing touches these two.
This one is so short and sweet, yes to emotionally charged.

Even though it isn't usually listed among the best songs from this album, Butterfly is by far my favourite song on it. I couldn't have imagined a better way to end this album. Weezer did not only make two amazing albums with their first two, but also had the most amazing two songs as closers on these albums.

Pinkerton is album of the day and OK Human has simultaneously had a miraculous leap up to no 3 for 2021. Someone has been adding a lot of Weezer to their charts lately Laughing

Good effort!

OK Human now up to no. 1 for 2021. This is a bit surprising as it was outside the top 5 a week ago. The Strokes overtaking Apple last year was surprising too. I guess its because these albums are on more decade and overall charts and these points are now in play. Interesting result. OK human my personal fav from 2021 so its good with me anyway. I just honestly thought BEA might be hipper than me Laughing

Last time I heard Pinkerton was on a big Weezer binge a couple of years ago. Great album.

Probably the most used music quote in my friends circle lol. Despite all the creepy sadboy lyrics, this is easily my favourite Weezer album. All bangers, near perfect emo record.
