Please listen to both songs before voting. The poll will be tallied in 7 days. See the spreadsheet for the full tournament bracket. _________________ Finally updated the overall chart
Faye Webster - Better Distractions
I voted against the lack of peaks, then for self-sufficiency.
Indeed, at first glance, everything looks naive and even childish.
A minimum of instruments, no playing with vocal muscles.
It seems that a little more and she simply does not have enough air in her lungs.
This is where the individuality lies, which this time wins.
Ela Minus - el cielo no es de nadie
In the last round, I voted against sterility and emptiness in the application.
It all ended with Ela Minus knocking out my favorite of the tournament.
I checked my marginal notes again.
I know both the artist and the 2020 album.
It could not be otherwise, this is a genre close to me, my weight category.
I singled out two songs then, but I did not notice the contestant.
The best track was - they told us it was hard, but they were wrong.
This single before the album ended up on my lists of the week, both for tracks and videos.
In 2022, this level might no longer be enough.
This took a while and some thought, and finally another back to back listen to decide here. While neither are a style I really get into I enjoy both songs, and for different reasons, without being blown away be either. I think I have voted both for and against both of these songs so far. In the end I think the outro of Better Distractions wins me over, and Fanny Webster gets my vote.
