I used to tell people this was my favorite Led Zep album, just to be contrarian. These days I probably don't know anyone who's even heard of them, so they never come up in conversation. For BEA purposes then, I probably like Houses of the Holy and Led Zeppelin IV better than this one, although "Friends" might be my favorite song of theirs, and "That's the Way" might be my favorite song of theirs to play on acoustic guitar. Unfortunately they both require alternate tunings, so playing them on a regular guitar is a PITA, but of course that's why you need a Variax.

This might be my least visited of the first 6 Zeppein albums unfortunately. However, it’s quite the record.
I can say with some confidence that Since I’ve Been Loving You might be my favorite Led Zeppelin song. To be honest, it’s right up there with my favorite recordings of the blues ever. The whole band is fiery and emotive on that track. They’re incredibly dynamic through the entire album. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
