I was posting in the Led Zeppelin II album of the day thread and I was reading other peoples posts about which song on the album was the best one. So, being a Led Zeppelin fanatic (I have 6 Zeppelin albums on my chart) I became curious about what people thought was the best Led Zeppelin song of their 9 albums.

But not the typical ones that everyone knows really well like kashmir and Stairway 2 Heaven. Rather the best song out of the deepest of deep cuts off the Zep discography Think

If you would like, please vote for what you think is the best of the more obscure led Zeppelin songs chosen from among these albums Very Happy

And, all things Led Zeppelin that you wish 2 post, of course.

Achilles Last Stand wasn't here, so I picked "The Ocean". Heavy shit.

Ended up with a tie between a couple, so I picked The Lemon Song. I have a hard time putting the LZ songs into a ranking order but I have three groups of great songs.

GROUP 1 - THE PERFECT ONES
Heartbreaker, Out on the Tiles, Rock & Roll, Stairway to Heaven, Kashmir

GROUP 2 - THE ALMOST PERFECT ONES
Good Times Bad Times, Communication Breakdown, Living Loving Maid, Ramble On, Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, Bron-Y-Aur-Stomp

GROUP 3 - THE REALLY GREAT ONES
Dazed and Confused, Whole Lotta Love, What Is and What Should Never Be, The Lemon Song, Moby Dick, Bring It On Home, Friends, Celebration Day, Gallows Pole, Tangerine, Black Dog, Misty Mountain Hop, Four Sticks, Going to California, When the Levee Breaks, Over the Hills and Far Away, D'Yer Maker, The Ocean, Custard Pie, Trampled Under Foot, Black Country Woman

The Ocean is arguably the most well-known song on Houses of the Holy, so I wouldn't really classify it as a deep cut. Therefore: Four Sticks. Terrific song, but easily overshadowed by the more popular tunes on IV.
