I’ve actually got mad into these lads recently when they kind of didn’t do much for me years ago.

Don’t know what’s changed really but this is one of a half dozen albums I’m now hooked on.

Plain and simply, some absolutely undeniable jams on this album.

I always have great memories of my music-discovering youth when I listen to this fantastic album.
But I also have a much more recent memory even more treausred:

On a hour long drive with my 15 year old son, rather than plug in his ipod, he looks through my CD case and pulls out Aqualung.

Rather than talk as we often do (or him sleep as he often does), we listen to the entire thing end to end in silence. I had no idea if he was paying attention or not, maybe just zoning out.

Turns out he was paying attention and he was blown away.

Interestingly, although I was very familiar with the album having loved it for decades, I hadn't listened to it in quite some time and I was also blown away, almost as if hearing it for the first time.

It was a marvelous shared experience... and a testament to Junior's good taste!

Thanks for sharing that story, reminds me of trips taken with my dad under similar circumstances with a myriad of different records providing the soundtrack. Hope you guys have many more of those trips!
