I guess I'd like to open voting as soon as possible to give everyone lotsa room. But another thing I wanted to change from wolf's format is to have a sort of secret ballot. So rather than have everyone posting on the thread so that we can pretty much gauge the results ahead of time, I've created a ballot so that people can enter their choices via that? does that sound okay to everyone? or is the other format preferred?

I do find it sickening that people who are "passionate" about music either don't listen to much music or couldn't find 25 albums they like (how closed minded must you be?) from this year.

I know for me personally, I haven't listened to as many albums as most of the people on this site. I probably couldn't make adequate lists on other years either. I just listen to music for the sake of listening to it. It's not like I'm alienating 2011 albums and not listening to them on purpose. (Anti-2011 Club for life!). I don't really listen to music based on when it was released. Call me crazy I guess. 2011 has been a year where I have just been discovering great albums that I haven't heard before.
Okay I'll admit that comment was a dick move on my part I just feel it's sad since there's like thousands of albums released every year and 85% of them barely get heard and if people are listening to less than 10 albums a year what's the point? and also earlier in the year people were saying that 2011 was a shitty year for music (and I'm not saying it's great) but how many albums had those people listened to before making a judgement call like that?
anyway it's probably my issue to deal with rather than everyone else's.
Also does someone want to volunteer to assist with this? as well as what will potentially be a lot of work, it would be good for accountability and trust if I'm not the only one seeing the results before they're posted.
