Yeah, I'll still participate. And I guess I've still heard parts of albums and decided that I don't want to listen to its entirety. But who cares.

Also, I could help you out if ya want. My exams are over on thursday, and I plan on getting my lazy on. But I can still squeeze in helping with this into my busy schedule of nothingness.

Actually I really enjoyed Dark Passion Play so I'll definitely give it a spin (had no idea they had a new album). My only hope is that they don't feel the need to fill up each mm of the disc, I don't have time to listen to 80 minutes of Symphonic metal. Seriously I would listen to so much more of that genre if they were content to make 40 minute albums.

My jaw just dropped with such a velocity, that it detached itself from my face. You listened to (and liked) Dark Passion Play Shocked

And yeah, it's pretty long (It's actually a film score). Although I'm cool with long albums, so it's not really a bother to me.
And now I'm listening to another 2011 album (The Harvest Wombs) and tomorrow I plan on listening to Gloss Drop by Battles. Look at me go Very Happy

I have listened to Mirrored. And I enjoyed it quite a bit. I have only listened to Gloss Drop once, but jeez. I liked it better than Mirrored (so far). I thought it was exceptional!

Also, I would be STOKED if we did a Best Metal Album award.

P.S. Jack, have you heard Fair to Midland's 2011 album (Arrows and Anchors)? I know how much you like Fables from a Mayfly...

I liked Arrows & Anchors, but it was no Mayfly. My reaction was more or less mixed, but it does have a couple standout tracks I really liked, like Rikki Tikki Tavi
