..is not done yet. Mr. Green

BUT. This is just a different thread for it. Consider it the 'level 2' stage.

I would like everyone to know, that I currently have 4 finished songs, 2 small interlude that I think fit in quite well (more-or-less studio session skits) and and 4 songs in progress.

Track listing currently goes as such:

1. Subtle, Unsubtle (3:57)
2. MCMXLII (2:50)
3. [Currently untitled, and uncompleted] - Very rough track, i'm actually playing guitar & drums on it too. Might get a friend to play a tenor sax solo on it as well.
4. Interlude I (1:00)
5. Animalshej Ghat (1:52) (time will be longer. Jhereko, this is also the track I hope to use your audio on)
6. Streets Around The World (2:01)
7. [Candles/Shoejazze] I want this to be the title track, and currently 'Candles' and 'Shoejazze' are the front runners. Shoejazze might be scrapped due to the low shoegaze aspect of the album (still there though, don't worry). The only 'ballad' on the album.
8. Alpha, Charlie, India & Delta (My Friends) (2:53)...(I love this title...I just had to have it. Wilco's album inspired it)
9. Interlude II (0:53)
10. Wish You Were Here [Pink Floyd Cover] (6:53) - This will be a big track. I'm doing great on it. I'll need another studio session to finish it off though.

The cover has changed, as the music has been made and changed, and the covers previously shown have been scrapped. Just fyi.

Currently, the only track online is MCMXLII, which I've worked on since, and sounds much better now, but here it is anyways:

Might put up a new track soon. Not sure.

When the entire album is done, it will be placed on Mediafire for free download. I'm also hoping for a version without 'Wish You Were Here' that will be placed on iTunes for $3.99 if everything works out with royalties.

I liked it. Surprised

You'll probably hate this comment, but I think that sax would make a great sample for somebody to rap over. Surprised

This is a little tough for a "single" though, isn't it? Is the rest of the album going to be even more challenging?

Thanks! Smile

And why would I hate that comment? It's perfectly reasonable. I don't think this would be a great song to rap over, but as you said, maybe to sample. A Tribe Called Quest sampled a few jazz pieces I believe (...it was them or D12...i forget...)

The album is a bit challenging. This probably isn't even the best work on the album, but it's certainly not the most challenging either.

It's a work in progress, but it SHOULD be done before 2012 Very Happy

Definitely better than Funeral

Still think you need to drown the scream in some noise Smile

Great sax playing Very Happy

I am with Shane, I don't see this as an appropriate single though Neutral

Not bad. REALLY digging the intro - not such a big fan of the sax, too Beefheart-y for the sake of being Beefheart-y.

No comment on the first part Neutral Least you like Neon Bible Smile

And this version isn't the current version. The current track that I have has the scene-scream-thing a bit quieter, and more 'real', and there's actually is a bit or distorted air on it. It sounds a lot better Razz

As for being a 'single', no one really seems to agree with that Anxious

So maybe it won't be. Mr. Green

Thank you Very Happy

And I just realized I ignored Jack's comment. What do you mean 'beefheart-y'? Too frantic? Think
