I made my music player select only songs that I rated at 4 or 5 stars and counted the top bands that came up and here are my results:

The Beatles: 60 songs
Pink Floyd: 51 songs
The Rolling Stones: 48 songs

Given that The Beatles were together for only 10 years, only 7 of those releasing albums, that is quite a feat. And I don't consider myself a big Beatles or Stones fan and have only one album from each on my chart. I do have a strong pro-Floyd bias though.

Weezer-78 Songs
Beatles-72 Songs
Tori Amos-68 Songs
White Stripes-55 Songs
Radiohead-50 Songs

Yeah, nothing really special. Obviously, there are many artists, such as Frank Zappa and Black Sabbath, who I love dearly, though have songs too long to meet my playlist requirements.

Zeppelin, Pearl Jam, and Modest Mouse. A lot of it has to do with bands simply have a larger library.
