In my case it's a tie with "War" and "I hate U2".

So basically, you're declaring war on U2. Laughing

Uh... What's the difference between Boy in 1980 and 1981, besides the cover? I didn't know there were two versions. Also, October is missing. Or is that the joke? Confused If so, that's weird because they are very different albums.

1981 - october .

Perhaps it should say, "October" then next to 1981? Just a thought.

I am all about breaking out the guns and knives against boring-ass guitar sounds and lyrical pomposity.

I think JoyofDivision actully likes....ohhhhhhhhhh. to be fair I haven't bashed U2 in a long time

Think and I haven'tvoted yet

so i've got 5 options

The Joshua Tree - Passable snorefest

Achtung Baby - An abortion - one of the worst things I've ever had to listen to

Zooropa - Surprisingly interesting and likeable

All That You Can't Leave Behind - Pleasent yet useless

or I hate U2

Think

I don't know I f I really "hate" U2

Achtung Baby is brilliant. The emotions in the guitar storms are almost unmatched in alternative rock. This is the best u2 album because it avoids the usual u2 flaws to create a masterpiece. The joshua tree is also good, but dangerously frontloaded. Come on, how many of the tracks off of Joshua tree do you really listen to more than once?

Yeah right

Anyway I said before that it's between Boy and War for me... And I generally prefer the early U2. I think people should at least listen to War before deciding they don't like the band.
And because I'm one of the rare U2 fans on this forum, I'll post some of their songs that don't get that much recognition.

From Boy (1980; mind you, Bono was a teenager when he wrote this song):

War (1983):

Might be my favourite U2 song. From Unforgettable Fire (1984):

And my favourite Joshua Tree song:
