Too good to be true it turns out - just phoned the owner and it turns out the pic is 3 years old, they were all his own collection and never for sale in the first place (he'd done a window display as part of a Sarah exhibition in Bristol some time ago). Equally relieved and frustrated - I would have made the 300 miles round trip if Mike hadn't beaten me to the punch if they had been up for offer...

Phew - I’m definetely more relieved than gutted Jim, as I could feel my addiction seriously tapping away at my brain!!!...was going to drive over tomorrow with £200 hoping to snag a few I wanted. Still annoyed at myself for selling my Sarah collection back in 2005.

Took a trip over to £sd in Salisbury (the closest record shop to Stonehenge as it goes) and picked up a stack of stuff, including:

Another Green World by Brian Eno

Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) by Brian Eno

Both 1st UK Island presses

Live At The Apollo by James Brown

Original UK press on London/King. Laminate has started coming off sleeve and there's a little warp - but for £3 I'm not complaining, as was...

Tous Les Garçons Et Les Filles by Françoise Hardy

Plus a couple of Stevie albums for £3 (Talking Book, Music Of My Mind) and this (alas not with Carbona Not Glue on, but can't win 'em all...

Leave Home by Ramones
