Got the new Rip Hayman record, Dreams of India & China: Field Recordings 1975 - 1986, on vinyl. It's in a limited edition of 500, and has a beautiful booklet filled with biographical essays about Hayman - a passionate sailor, maritime historian, ethnographer, anthropologist, tape artist, collagist, lecturer, author, and barkeep - as well as some wonderful photos of him on his various adventures, home and abroad, over the years. It's currently at #4 on my 2019 chart. Despite my reservations about putting archival releases on year charts, this one feels right in that it's a newly edited cut and paste job of previous live tape experiments and field recordings from his personal collection, which have never before been heard in this context. Recommended to Tap, Hayden, KKS, dbz, Norman, others.

Will check for sure, thanks!
