The Best of Sam Cook
Beethoven's 7th - Bruno Walter/NY Phil
Gershwin by Bernstein/NY Phil
Rachmaninoff (self recording of Concerto No. 2)

But the thing I was most excited for was the original 1945 Glenn Miller release of An Album Of Outstanding Arrangements... unfortunately a bit damaged, but still a favorite of mine and a bit of history.

Second to that was a Shellac recording from Toscanini of Beethoven's 5th.

I was most excited cuz it was 54 records (not all represented here) for $54 and further more some great finds - quality recordings and bits of history that matter to me even if the value to others isn't great (mostly).

Irie. Hadn’t seen that Scientist at Tubbys LP before but just checked and it’s a reissue of Introducing Scientist... The Best Dub Album In The World. And a twin virgins (I’m guessing) press of Right Time too... love that record.

My latest addition features a picture of some bloke blowing pipe smoke but it looks like he has a dick for a nose:

Virgin promo pressing Smile
managed to snag for $12, pretty sure I first heard this on your recommendation many moons ago Wink . Killer album, not sure if this is promo-exclusive but comes with a little booklet of press photos of the band (and other similar assorted goodies)

Picked a few things up in there on the cheap the other day
Code:
. I did pick up this nevermind version a little while back and took it back to the shop as it was the worst sounding record I've ever heard.

The Pallas German pressing sounds good, but I imagine you mean the remaster? Worst remaster in history.

Only issue I have when the German pressing is it's missing endless nameless.

I’ve got a European 1st pressing of Nevermind - pressed at Sonopress - and it sounds superb. I haven’t heard the Back To Black pressing that was in HMV (saw it on sale for a tenner there when I picked up my copy of Coltrane’s Both Directions At Once) but I have a B2B copy of DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing and it’s one of the most undynamic, flat and soulless records I own. Luckily enough I picked up a Mo’Wax original from a record fair recently for £4 (bargain) and did a side-by-side comparison. No contest.
