Polar opposites edition...

Dummy by Portishead

First U.K. press with some bodged credits on the inner sleeve. Snip at at tenner.

Stations Of The Crass by Crass

Virtually immaculate record and poster considering it was likely previously owned by an anarchist.

And the other day through the post...

Dr. Octagonecologyst by Dr. Octagon

The triple LP U.K. version on Mo’Wax with a different sleeve, snagged off eBay.

Apollo Masters has burnt down. Not sure exactly what this means for the vinyl industry, but it'll be bad.

Yeah, not good this. The obvious short-term fix would be for plants/labels/artists to go look at DMM as an alternative, but that won't be right for everyone...

Looks like the only other lacquer manufacturer is based in Japan. Plus side is that would imagine a fair amount of lacquers for things coming up (i.e. RSD) have already been cut, so can't see it causing any immediate problems. Give it 6 months though and it could be a very different story.

Haven't caught up with that one yet unfortunately. I'm just listening to Ocean Songs for the first time now in fact

Back in 94 or 95 saw them as a support act for Dave Graney and the Coral when they were virtual nobodies. Otherworldly and amazing and the only gig I've been to where I was moved to years.
