Imagine by John Lennon

I think I'm confirming post-beatles, John is easily the best. While I like Paul as a Beatle more, John's plastic ono and imagine albums are actually a great listen... can't say I really love any other Beatle's post 1970 ALBUMS as much as a Beatles album. John's stuff is actually right up there for me. Good tracks and all released post Beatles, but not really great albums.

London Calling by The Clash

Amazon had it quite discounted as a new pressing for nearly $20 for a double album. It was something like 19% off from when I added it to my wishlist, so had to get it as not sure I'd do the $30 ever. The album is good, but not like the most important thing to me either/not worth a splurge... then again $20 for vinyl is kinda ridiculous... don't care if a double album.

I remember going to a Tower Records going out of business sale thinking it'd be less expensive and it was like... no wonder why you are going out of business, I can get this same record at Amoeba who isn't having a going out of business sale for less. Bastards. And here I am like 20 years later being a sucker and buying an overpriced album anyway... Laughing

It was a trip to go back to Amoeba and see the vinyl section had totally changed... it was like a gold mine of finds in the 2000-2005 range for vinyl. Really good stuff for $5 or less... now it's like the USED stuff can be $20. It's a bit disgusting how we've just handed over the Vaseline... well for physical music.

On the other hand, I can listen to 3,000 albums I'd never hear in my entire life and probably never would via Spotify and the sort. I mean You could do almost that in 2000-2005 via less savory methodologies, but it'd sound like poop or be hard to find or the track listing was out of order or it actually was fart noises instead of A Love Supreme like you thought you were downloading, etc.

Anyway, it's late. I should human. Glavin.
