Picked up for a decent price, and after hearing Oxygen the other day was overcome with a wave of nostalgia when I saw it. Drove home expecting fond memories to be rekindled. Spun it. Forgot how terribly patchy it was - in fact I've stuck it straight on Discogs. How fickle. _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing Folk 'n Stuff SHAMELESS RECORD DEALER PLUG
Just about had it with new release vinyl. Too much of a lottery as to whether stuff sounds any good. Been buying plenty vinyl and CDs recently of stuff I've really enjoyed on spotify that I want to invest more in. Think I'm getting my love back for CDs. Can't afford to take a punt on vinyl unless it's charity shop shit which I'll never stop looking for. Mind you, of the handful of new release metal albums I have, they all sound fantastic. None of them were overpriced and the packaging was quality, like gatefold and stuff like booklets inside and even a version of the album on cd included too in one album sleeve. This kendrick cd I'm playing cost five quid, sounds amazing. Why would I pay £25 for a vinyl that is a gamble?
