Popped into Reading earlier and picked up:
Raise by Swervedriver
Partly thanks to Tilly's review! Original UK press on Creation.
Kid A by Radiohead
2 x 10", original Parlophone press.
Whilst these are exciting enough, I spent the majority of today's trip demoing record players, speakers and the like. I've just been given a rather tidy redundancy cheque, so am on the verge of a pretty hefty investment/splurge on new kit. More to follow... _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

That Swervedriver album is ace. Which turntables are you looking at? Are you finally getting round to buying a Rega?

Rega P3 almost certainly - nothing else I’ve heard in that price range compares. Speakers are proving the most fun to audition - so far the Dynaudio Emit M10s are favourite (tried some Dali Opticons and Monitor Audio Silvers in Richer Sounds but the Dynaudios blew them out the water, and that was using the exact same set-up as I’d be looking at sans the Rega Brio - my Marantz should drive ‘em fine). Still to try the new B&W range so will make a call next week.
I AM definitely going to be something else though - something considering the amount of records I buy I really should have invested in a long time ago... but that’s for another post... _________________ 'Reggae' & t'ing

Hmmm intriguing...Ultrasonic record cleaner perhaps? I have B&W speakers myself (DM 601 S2’s) and love em to bits.
