Little Richard by Little Richard

Got this to match along with a long time favorite I already had (Here's Little Richard)... Haven't really gotten into anything much past these two besides comps. Any recs or is history pretty accurate when they say he exploded in the beginning, but the magic didn't last? (my attempts in the past say that history is pretty accurate, but am begging to be convinced otherwise).

I just listened to this today, and added it to the database:

The Rill Thing by Little Richard

I would definitely recommend it. It's not pioneering like his early work, but it's a great funk album with lots of his trademark energy. It's very cool to hear an artist who was an influence on the birth of a genre playing it for the first time. And due to my stylistic preference for funk over early rock, it might actually be my new favorite record of his.

Thanks mate!

Totally adding to my listening log. I love funk and love me some Little Richard, so sounds like it could go a long way in my book. Cool
