Something I have been thinking about regarding this thread. Do many users who buy physical albums normally buy so many in a single day. When I used to buy so many at once it was usually from charity shops where they are really cheap. New CDs can be expensive yet vinyl even more so. Vinyl costs £29.99 on average and if you convert this into dollars the number will be higher. Do more people browse and take what gets there interest or have lists ready beforehand? _________________ More needs and less greed

Personally, it's rare for me to buy more than 2 records in one trip, but that might just be me. I am a broke college student so that may have something to do with it

My commute used to have 3 record stores on the way home... needless to say during that period in my life I spent way to much money on records. Now 1 shop closed down, 1 moved away, and 1 just...sucks now for some reason. So I only really buy records when I make a trip out to the place which moved. And when I do make that trip, I usually buy about as many records as I can carry/fit in my bag. Though to be fair I'm not very strong and I purposefully don't bring huge bags, so that ends up being like 5-6 albums.
I think it's important to pace yourself on purchases both per visit and per week/month/year/etc. When I had the record stores on my commute, I was pacing myself per visit (1-2 records per visit), but not per week (...would visit 1-3 times per week). Now I pace myself per year (~6 visits/year) but not per visit (5-6 albums per visit). Another thing to note is that I almost exclusively buy used albums unless it's an album which just came out which I KNOW I'm gonna like. I don't tend to experiment with purchases unless they're cheap. If there's a $5 album I'll probably take a chance, but $25+, I'm gonna need to at least have listened to that artist before.
Well in any case... today I didn't splurge, just bought a couple classical albums:
