Anything by Daniel Johnston
Guided by Voices- Alien Lanes, Earthquake Glue, most of their early stuff.
The Love Below- Outkast
late 70's-90's era Jonathan Richman
Archandroid- Janelle Monae (although one of my favorites right now)
