I know everybody listens to Deus and new wave fans to Front 242, but go do some research and you'll find better bands. My favorites are the black box revelation, the sore losers and the hickey underworld!

dEUS is obligatory, I also like Absynthe Minded, Milow, Gotye (does this count?) and Triggerfinger.

Yes, dEUS is good. I also like Sharko (Feuded & Meeuws 2 are good records), The Names were a good Belgian postpunk band, a bit too referential maybe. I can enjoy a moderate dose of Girls In Hawaii as well.
However my favorite Belgian album (In A Bar, Under The Sea aside) is probably Berchem/Trap by Dead Man Ray.

Oh, I was forgetting Arno ! It's pretty hit and miss with him, but he has his moments. So did TC Matic.

I love "Bathroom Singer". It's really a mess, but that's what's good !
