I really liked Born to Die, which prompted me to check her out. Video Games was pretty good. But the other songs I've heard from her haven't been as good. I'll have to see how her new album is.
(Also, I agree with her not being lyrically strong. But who cares; I rarely listen to music for the lyrics anyways).
Don't really see where all the hype's coming from, nothing I've heard from her has really amazed me. In saying that, I didn't see the big deal with Adele either. Video Games was a good song but there were some who were saying that it was the best song of last year! I'm not going to rush out and buy her album, but she'll probably end up being huge. _________________ No-one writes them like they used to, so it may as well be me.
Her EP is already one of the top selling albums on iTunes (as I'm sure you've all seen). I'm also not crazy about her other stuff, and I am nervous that she will be beaten like a dead horse before the year is out. *sigh*
But for now, I can't get enough of Video Games.

Video games was a gorgeous song, not boring, it's a slow song but I find it interesting with the harp, the piano chords and the string arrengements, the drum parts etc. and even though i'm not crazy for Lana's voice, it is fine.
I havent heard any other songs from her but she seems good.
