Let's have a BEA Oscar pool. The prize? Nothing.

Check the nominees if you haven't already. Agree/disagree with anything? DISCUSS!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/84th_Academy_Awards

My picks:
Film: I WANT Tree of Life to win, but The Artist may very well snatch it up. You know how the Academy loves nostalgia.
Director: Woody Allen
Actor: Out of those guys, it will and should be Brad Pitt. It SHOULD be in GENERAL Jason Gordon-Levitt for 50/50, but w/e.
Actress: Glenn Close by a LONGSHOT
Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer
Supporting Actress: Berenice Bejo
Original Screenplay: Woody Allen. The other nomination's screenplays don't even come CLOSE. Why the fuck is The Artist even nominated in this category? I mean, it was awesome, but really: screenplay? Come on. Are they serious?
Adapted Screenplay: The Ides Of March
Animated Feature: Chico & Rita. I guess. What the fuck were they thinking with this category's nominations?
Original Score: The Artist - Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross deserve it more buuuut they weren't even nominated.
Original Song: Man or Muppet. Who the fuck cares about Rio?
Art Direction: Hugo
Cinematography: Tree of Life, by several, several miles.

Maybe it's just because I love The Invention Of Hugo Cabret too much, but.........well...........Hugo should win Best Picture. So GO HUGO!

Even though it's mostly just "Thanks to the Academy...and a bunch of blokes nobody has heard of...yadda yadda" this was still a vastly superior show to the musical equivalent a while back.
