Post subject: Rank Metallica’s discography from greatest to worst.
I don’t have enough points to make a chart ranking Metallica’s overall discography, so I’m starting a new topic here asking people to rank all of Metallica’s studio albums from greatest to worst.
WARNING: This is an unpopular ranking but here goes:
1. Metallica (The Black Album) (1991)
2. Master Of Puppets (1986)
3. Reload (1997)
4. Ride The Lightning (1984)
5. 72 Seasons (2023)
6. Hardwired…To Self-Destruct (2016)
7. Kill ‘Em All (1983)
8. …And Justice For All (1988)
9. Load (1996)
10. St. Anger (2003)
11. Death Magnetic (2008)

Nice choice of a topic! I've always intended to do this myself but I've never quite got around to it.
What I find interesting in your rankings is the disparity in the two Load records. I'd love to hear why!
1.) Master of Puppets
2.) Ride The Lightning
3.) …And Justice For All
4.) Black Album
5.) Kill Em All
6.) Death Magnetic
7.) Hardwired
8.) Load
9.) 72 Seasons
10.) ReLoad
11.) St. Anger _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.
There are only three Metallica albums I like listening to front and back and they are:
1. Death Magnetic (Seriously can’t get enough of this album, I now know what it feels like to be someone who has The Force Awakens as their favorite Star Wars movie)
2. The Black Album
3. Garage Inc.
All their other albums have songs have several songs I like, but they are plagued by dated production and having several bad or average songs.
