All I know for sure is that I wish I was at this Stones concert watching them do Happy.

Really surprised by all the hate this is getting. Great album. Not their best (thats Sticky Fingers), but I would rate it their 2nd. Tumbling Dice ranks among their best songs, but my favorite on the album is "Ventilator Blues". I'm also a big fan of "Loving Cup".

Forget Sticky Fingers, EXILE is their best by far. Rocks Off and Tumbling Dice are my two fave Stones songs, and Ventilator Blues, Shake Your Hips, Rip This Joint, and some others would probably make it on my top 10 Stones songs list too.

And yup, I'm surprised by all the hate too Surprised

One of the dullest albums on the overall chart.

I think it's a classic case of the revisionist need to slaughter a sacred cow. Have people really listened to this album? Because my remastered copy kicks serious ass pretty much from start to finish. To not like this album is to not like the blues, not like soul music, folk music, country, and all kind of roots music, you know the building blocks of rock n roll. Maybe that's it. Those people just don't like rock n roll?.. or if it's not all arty farty, if it's just a great party record (and Exile is one of the best ever), they write it off. You people are missing out on a good time.

Exile gets better with age too. Listen to it again (preferably loud and while drinking). Cool

I HAVE listened, and it's dull. The Stones have made much, MUCH better music. Granted, I believe all of it was prior to Exile.

And if I have to drink to enjoy an album, that tells me it's worth skipping anyway. Kind of like the woman who requires 3 beers to see her beauty.

When I saw someone say that the best 5 on Sticky Fingers are better than Exile's best 5, I laughed (something I do at a lot of people's opinions here). I then proceeded to name 6 songs off the bat that were great:

Rocks Off
Tumbling Dice
Happy
Let It Loose
Shine a Light
Soul Survivor

and after a few more seconds:

Loving Cup
Rip This Joint

and probably a couple others that I can't think of right now.

Someone here once said to ignore every chart that doesn't have this on it. I will do just that (unless they do that 1 album per artist crap, in which case they just have to have a rolling stones album).

I listened to a couple tracks from this album and almost fell asleep. Someone's gonna have to convince me that the whole is substantially greater than the sum of its parts before I give this full album a try.
