So I was going through my collection and wondered what bands discographies am I missing that would be a must.

The following groups I like and have the CDs I like, but I don't like them enough to own their ENTIRE discographies: The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Beck, The Who, Smiths, etc.

The following artists I do own the complete discographies of:
Arcade Fire *
As Tall As Lions
The Beatles *
Coldplay *
Elbow *
Foo Fighters *
Led Zeppelin *
Muse *
Nirvana *
Pink Floyd
Queens of the Stone Age
R.E.M. *
Radiohead *
Rage Against the Machine *
RHCP *
The Smashing Pumpkins *
U2 *
Velvet Underground
Weezer (minus their last 2) *
The White Stripes

Any other complete discographies worth having? The above bands have a pretty good discography in my opinion and I cherish the ones that are *ed. I guess my only criteria would be that it only has maybe one or two weak albums, depending on size of discography.

What are your most cherished discographies?

Hmmm, maybe I do need a true metal band to worship, not that that was all you listed, but that and the Doors were good picks for me. If you had to choose one Iron Maiden or Black Sabbath?

Please don't make me decide between those 2 bands!

Oooh- thanks for reminding me of Simon and Garfunkel and Buddy Holly. I have a few of their albums, but not all.

For myself, I'm pretty happy having the complete Bruce Springsteen and the complete Drive By Truckers.

Tori Amos (my obsession with her is almost Deadhead-calibur Shocked )
Beatles (duh)
Pink Floyd
Avril Lavigne (I'm serious. Shut up)
Vanessa Carlton
Nirvana
Fiona Apple

Those are the only ones I could think of. Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard and NIN come close, but even they have too much filler in their discographies.
