|
I have a girlfriend which I love, but she just told me
that one of the record she would like to own,
is a record called "Euphoria" by Enrique Iglesias :s
I may, although it won't be often, risk to hear it,
while she plays it.
How do I tackle this situation.
Break up and find a new girlfriend?
Try to keep her from getting to own that probably miserable record?
Or let her have that freedom to own which ever record she would like to own,
and swallow my arrogance and stop being so choosey? .......... _________________ If you can't give me heaven, Ill raise hell, till it's heaven

I'm gonna go with the latter. In the confusing world of relationships and compatibility, the last thing you need to worry about is music taste. It's not really a topic that matters much, and to lose a girl just because of that is rather ridiculous.
Speaking of which, about a year ago I asked a girlfriend what her favorite heavy metal song was, and she said "The Anthem" by Good Charlotte

Make a stand Cafu86!
You must not let this happen!
She will eventually have YOU listening to Enrique and going to see him in concert.
Stop this madness while you can!
Control your relationship's musical destiny and put on The Dark Side of the Moon at full volume and make her listen to it right away!
It DOES matter. Just wait till you both go on a long ride together and you have to sit through the best of Enrique.

Clearly she needs to be put in her place, explain to here why she is wrong and her "taste" in music is irrational and foolish. If she truly loves you she will do as she is told and only listen to music that you deem appropriate.
Trust me it will strengthen the relationship.

Hang on! I've just realized your #1 was Siamese Dream, which means she has better taste than you do. Miss, leave him. There is no curing this.
