Although I’ve been listening to jazz a bit for a few years now, I still consider myself a neophyte (despite my name). I'd like to expand my horizons. If you know jazz, what do you recommend I listen to next?

I’ve listed the albums I own in a rough order of preference:

Kind of Blue
Getz/Gilberto
Sketches of Spain
Way Out West
Somethin’ Else
The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady
The Sidewinder
Birth of the Cool
A Love Supreme
Mingus Ah Um
Giant Steps
In a Silent Way
Porgy and Bess
Pure Getz
Bitches Brew
Time Out
(I just got this yesterday, so I don’t yet know where it will fall in)

It seems like you not that familiar with the more "abstract" styles of jazz, such as avant- and free jazz. Checking RYM is always a good idea, as you'll get a huge list delivered.

Check out Miles' more african-fussion jazz. On The Corner & Live-Evil.

And my mixtape kinda counts Anxious

Mingus's stuff is always worth a shot, ignore whatever critical acclaim it has, it's most likely going to be good anyway.

Thanks for all the suggestions. You've given me a lot to choose from. Go, Moanin', and Out to Lunch will probably my next three purchases. If anyone has further suggestions, I welcome them.

Yay, good choices! Very Happy

I will also suggest Crosscurrents and Descent into the Maelstrom, both by Lennie Tristano.
