Best Blur album with Modern Life... a classic from the period. Not among my favourites, but it's still worth several listens, and very enjoyable.

Great, great record. Takes the ideas of the Kinks into the 21st century.

Y'know, I think I subconsciously predicted this after Silent Alarm was the AotD. Weird.

Anyway, I've never listened to the whole album, but I've heard bits on youtube and rather enjoyed them.

I love this record, this is my all time favorite britpop record,
with "Tracy Jacks" as my favorite blur track, and "End of a century" and "To the end"
as me second two favorite tracks.

I never really liked Girls & Boys, but there's still a lot I enjoyed here. Most notably To the End, End of a Century, This is a Low, Tracy Jacks, ...

I should listen to it again soon, I think I might be underrating it (80/100 currently)

Oh, wow! I thought I was the only one that skipped Girls and Boys. When this album first came out, I didn't like it nor did I like Blur. I just thought it was so derivative of all that had come before in British music. In recent years, I've gotten over playing spot the influence and I find a lot of these songs thoroughly enjoyable now. It's a very good record even if it wasn't really anything new. That's what Brit pop was all about though, affirming and drawing on the legacy of the past.
