Forget about Pac and all that west coast crap - east coast classics like this,
is the shit !!!

If anubody want to hear some creepy stuff,
then check out Suicidal Thoughts (Lorn Remix)
That version gives me the creeps!

The album isn't flawless. 'Illmatic' is flawless. But Nas was never as charismatic or accessible as Biggie. Wu broke down the doors for hard East Coast rap (in the vein of Kool G. Rap) to make a real comeback, and Big's smooth, effortless flow combined with Puffy's pop sensibilities spawned a truly great album and the blueprint for commercial rap throughout the rest of the nineties. I could listen to this album all day, and it is so much better than 'Life After Death'. However, it's another case of 'right place, right time'.

I like 2pac better than Biggie.

My friend loves this album. I guess I should give it more of a look then.

It's almost sacrilege amongst my friends to prefer Tupac to Biggie. It's also quite interesting to note the racial lines along which their respective fanbases over here are drawn. I'd say over 90% of white people would say they prefer Biggie, with a similar percentage of Asian (as in Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi, as opposed to Oriental) preferring Pac. With black people, it's probably 50/50. I just find that quite odd.

TBH, I really like both. The question is very divisive, and a lot of people tend to think (for some reason) that you must pick your alliegance and then insult the other as often as possible. I think Big was a better rapper, but Pac a better songwriter. Both had truly great albums, and both died too young. If I had to pick one, it'd be Big. But I don't, so I'll continue to listen to both whenever I feel like it.

I prefer Biggie, to tell the truth. Pac made two AWESOME albums, but Ready to Die beats them both.

And I'm Pakistani Neutral

Kanye > Ghostface > Biggie.

Nas would probably be up there if he was more consistent...

100% agree. Tupac had stronger lyrics, but Biggie had better rapping skills. I think it's dumb when people can't like them both.

Nas>Biggie>Kanye>Ghostface

That was pretty fucking hard though, they're all very good.

Biggie shits all over 2 pac though, well all of them do really. Don't know about this racial divide, my black best mate prefers Biggie but maybe I should ask more black and asian people.
