Considering our opening two games were against Liverpool and Spurs, to have 4 points on the board is pretty impressive.

That'll teach you never to bet against the mighty, mighty Baggies.

But seriously, I reckon we'll surprise a few people this season (if a team that has finished 10th and 11th in the previous two seasons counts as a "surprise" when they get a good result). A lot of people who had us down to struggle concentrated on the loss of Hodgson, but at the Albion it's only a head coach role. And we've significantly strengthened our squad. I don't reckon a top half finish (again) is out of the question, maybe eighth if we're lucky, though that's probably pushing it.

Clearly. West Ham was terrible on Saturday. Reminded me of England in South Africa.

Looks like Carroll could be a great pick up for the Hammers (if healthy).

3-0 over Fulham? Maybe Dempsey and Dembele really were that good.

Whatever you think of Ancelotti, I think Paris will win anyway. Marseille just doesn't have the depth of bench it takes to win the title. Rémy is out already, if Gignac gets wounded as well, they'll be in trouble scoring. On the other hand, Paris has two good L1 teams ready ; one is outstanding (Ibrahimovic is already doing wonders), one is good, which is enough to beat almost anyone else in L1. My pick for strongest contender : Lille. Marseille not far, but certainly not 1st, maybe 3rd or 4th.
